Job summary

Flexential is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead technical sales execution across multiple sales domains. The role partners with RVPs and sales leaders to drive sales, translate strategy into territory plans, allocate resources, and improve customer outcomes.

The Director will develop a high-performing team, reinforce architectural standards, and improve field processes for rapid scale. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant technology, solution engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing architecture experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Proven ability to lead Solution Engineering teams across multiple markets or territories and partner effectively with regional sales executives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and lead Solutions Engineers aligned with the Solutions Engineering process.
• Implement operating standards within domains consistent with company direction and sales priorities.
• Be accountable for defined Solutions Engineering performance, customer outcomes, and pipeline quality.
• Establish regional priorities, workforce plans, resource allocation strategies, and operating objectives.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Solution Engineers with clear expectations and rhythms.
• Participate in annual planning and strategic goal setting for Solutions Engineering.
• Lead technical engagement for strategic regional accounts and escalations with senior leadership when needed.
• Maintain portfolio expertise and deliver field enablement using company messaging and methods.
• Represent Flexential at industry events and monitor customer priorities, competitor activity, and market trends.
• Provide field intelligence and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders, and execute approved changes.
• Track and report operating metrics and drive improvements to workflows and tools.
• Perform other duties as required.
