Job summary

Flexential is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead technical sales execution across multiple territories, partnering with RVPs and sales leaders to drive growth and improve customer outcomes. The role includes building a high-performing team, maintaining portfolio expertise, and providing field enablement and strategic regional engagement.

The position offers a base pay range of $170,000–$185,000 with a $65,000 target commission, and a hybrid work model with optional remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant technology, solution engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing architecture experience including leadership responsibility.
• Proven ability to prioritize resources and maintain consistent execution across multiple territories.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills including engagement with customer executives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to develop and lead the Solutions Engineers assigned to your charter.
• Implement solutions engineering operating standards within assigned domains.
• Accountable for defined Solutions Engineering performance and customer outcomes.
• Establish regional priorities, workforce plans, and resource allocation strategies.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Solution Engineers.
• Lead technical engagement for strategic regional accounts and escalations.
• Maintain current portfolio expertise and deliver field enablement using company messaging.
