Job summary

Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead pre-sales and design tailored data center solutions for hyperscalers and enterprises. You will act as the NA SME, collaborating with Sales, Design Engineering, Operations, and Construction to translate requirements into scalable, reliable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7–10 years in solutions engineering with 3–5 years in leadership.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex solutions.
• Technical expertise in high-density data center design (power, cooling, space).
• Familiarity with AI/HPC environments, GPUs, liquid cooling, networking.
• Strong communication, with ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Travel up to 30% and proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand objectives and requirements.
• Design customized data center solutions optimized for space, power, cooling and connectivity.
• Develop detailed documentation, proposals, and SOWs with cross-functional teams.
• Provide pre-sales support, deliver technical presentations and site visits.
• Collaborate with Sales, Design Engineering, Operations, and Construction.
• Stay current on industry trends and communicate insights to leadership.
