Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director to lead software product and tech due diligence engagements for private equity clients. You will assess product features, roadmaps, architecture, IP, and development processes across pre- and post-acquisition work.

Join a global PE-focused practice with opportunity to shape diligence approaches, mentor teams, and collaborate with bankers and portfolio companies. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience.
• Experience in software product and tech due diligence for private equity.
• Excellent communication skills, including executive-level deliverables.
• Proven ability to work with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.
• Willingness/ability to travel ~75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Define objectives, scope and approach for software product and tech diligence engagements.
• Lead teams in the execution of software product and tech diligence engagements.
• Interact with target and client for interviews, updates and final deliverables.
• Oversee data requests and governance with bankers and clients.
• Lead analysis across areas and summarize key insights for clients.
• Develop and evolve deliverables and methodology.
• Drive business development with target private equity funds.
• Foster client relationships with key decision makers at PE funds.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Economics
