Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking a Director to lead software product and technology diligence for private equity clients. You will guide pre- and post-transaction assessments, oversee data collection, and drive value through rigorous analysis of product roadmaps, architecture, IP, and hosting infrastructure.

Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential. The role requires 10+ years in consulting or related fields, at least 5 years in tech, and willingness to travel up to 75% across

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with at least 5 years in tech/software.
• Bachelor's degree required, major in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another analytical field.

Responsibilities

• Define objectives, scope, and approach for software product and tech diligence engagements with MD approval.
• Lead teams in executing software product and tech diligence engagements.
• Interacts with target and client, including interviews and readouts; manage data requests.
• Provide oversight for data artifacts and documentation collected from the target.
• Lead analysis across product features, architecture, IP, R&D, hosting, and related areas.
• Summarize insights into client-ready exhibits and deliverables; ensure quality of work.
