Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director to lead software product and technology due diligence for private equity clients, overseeing engagements from scope to final deliverables across multiple portfolio companies. You will evaluate product features, architecture, IP, and development processes, coordinating teams and client interactions to drive actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience.
• Experience in software/tech due diligence for private equity.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to work with senior leaders and PE deal teams.
• Bachelor's degree required; major in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or similar.
• Willingness to travel at least 75%.

Responsibilities

• Define objectives, scope and approach for software product and tech diligence engagements.
• Lead teams in the execution of diligence engagements.
• Interact with target clients, conduct interviews, and deliver interim updates.
• Oversee data requests and manage related stakeholder interactions.
• Lead analysis and translate tech insights into commercial implications.
• Develop and guide deliverables and methodology; mentoring staff.
