Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a seasoned manager for private equity performance improvement, focusing on software product and tech due diligence. You will assess product features, architecture, IP, and R&D processes while engaging with PE sponsors and portfolio companies.

Responsibilities include leading target engagements, data requests, analysis, and delivering client-ready insights. Travel up to 75% and mentorship of junior staff are expected components of the role.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of consulting or relevant experience, with at least five years focused on tech consulting, software/tech‑enabled services, or product management.
• Experience with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or transaction/tech due diligence (desired).
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills for executive‑level deliverables.
• Background in software/product development or advisory from top‑tier firms or Big‑4.
• Ability to translate technical insights into commercial implications.
• Willingness to travel at least 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Participate in target/client interactions, including interviews and readouts.
• Develop and manage data request lists with bankers and client.
• Analyze target data and summarize insights into client‑ready exhibits.
• Ensure deliverable quality and manage day‑to‑day relationships.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff.
