Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager Solutions Engineering to lead Americas pre-sales, drive revenue growth, and guide a team delivering security solutions and API-based demos.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing and Customer Success to ensure customers experience maximum value from Akamai's platform. Responsibilities include strategic planning, reporting, and cross-functional leadership to expand the security bookings, account base, and retention while enabling

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience managing one or more regional teams and mentoring.
• Experience managing the technical opportunity sales cycle.
• Ability to lead and develop individual contributors.
• Expertise in API architectures (REST, GraphQL), API gateways, OAuth/JWT.
• Familiarity with cloud-native ecosystems (Kubernetes, Docker) and AI Security.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to pre-sales Lead and contributors; work on strategic planning.
• Communicate team's direction, goals and progress to sales leadership.
• Lead initiatives to build team capabilities for new products.
• Own and develop reports and analytics for data-driven strategies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to meet objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.
