Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Director, Business Development - Technology Alliances Manager to drive partnerships and technical integrations across cybersecurity and cloud ecosystems. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales to scope and deliver joint solutions, co-marketing, and go-to-market programs.

The role requires 3-5 years in technology alliances or related fields, hands-on API/integration experience, and strong cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in technology alliances/partnerships, business development, sales or solutions engineering, product management, or technical program management.
• Hands-on exposure to building or supporting technical integrations (e.g., REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs).
• Technical aptitude and curiosity: understand cybersecurity and cloud technologies, grasp integration concepts, and translate into clear customer use cases.
• Familiar with modern security ecosystems including Zero Trust, IAM, and EDR.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
• Knowledge of cloud marketplaces, browser security, or AI governance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of ISV, cybersecurity, and cloud partners
• Identifying high-value integration use cases across Zero Trust, SSE/SASE, identity, and SIEM ecosystems
• Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver technical integrations
• Developing joint solution briefs, co-marketing programs, and field alignment strategies
• Collaborating with Sales and partner field teams to drive partner-sourced pipeline
• Supporting marketplace listings and co-sell programs with major cloud providers
