Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Industry Relations & Contracting to lead the team responsible for rebate contracts and formulary strategy. You will negotiate contracts with manufacturers, model economic value for clients, and drive strategic industry relationships.

This role requires PBM experience, strong negotiation skills, and leadership of a growing IRC team. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to shape Navitus’ contract portfolio, along with travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D preferred.
• MBA or applicable degree or experience is desired.
• At least 5 years PBM/Healthcare plan experience is preferred; with a strong preference for rebate contracting and formulary management experience.
• At least 1 year experience in contract negotiation with preference in Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Part D rebate contracting (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Proactively building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships throughout Pharma, customers, Navitus, and other business partners/vendors.
• Ensuring the appropriate Pharma sources and internal and external people/resources are in place to meet Navitus’ current and future needs.
• Developing and successfully implementing strategies and action plans for establishing and enhancing a competitive Pharma contract structure for Navitus which meets current and future needs of Navitus and its customers.
• Working closely with Navitus' operational teams to ensure that Pharma contracts with respect to rebates and discounts are fully understood, and proactively leading the resolution of rebate issues.
• Leading Pharma negotiations and working with others to proactively seek and capitalize on opportunities to profitably expand the scope of high net rebates and discounts that are obtained for the ultimate creation of the lowest net cost PBM for Navitus’ clients.
• Lead, train and develop the team of Navitus Contractors to allow for career development.
