Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director of Industry Relations & Contracting to lead the IRC team in negotiating rebate contracts and supporting formulary decisions. The role focuses on strategic relationships with pharma manufacturers, cost modeling, and budget impact analysis to deliver client value.

The ideal candidate will have pharmacy degree, PBM experience, and a track record in rebate contracting and contract negotiations, with travel flexibility up to 20% and Wisconsin licensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D is preferred. MBA or applicable degree or experience is desired.
• At least 5 years PBM/Healthcare plan experience is preferred; with a strong preference for individuals with rebate contracting and formulary management experience.
• At least 1 year experience in contract negotiation with preference in Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare Part D rebate contracting (or equivalent experience)
• Pharmacist should have or could obtain an unrestricted licensure in Wisconsin
• Up to 20% travel time required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
• The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees

Responsibilities

• Proactively build and maintain strong and effective working relationships throughout Pharma, customers, Navitus, and other business partners/vendors
• Ensure the appropriate Pharma sources and internal and external people/resources are in place to meet Navitus’ current and future needs
• Developing and successfully implementing strategies and action plans for establishing and enhancing a competitive Pharma contract structure for Navitus which meets current and future needs of Navitus and its customers. This includes ensuring that appropriate agreements, analytical processes, and audit programs are in place
• Working closely with Navitus' operational teams to ensure that Pharma contracts with respect to rebates and discounts are fully understood, and proactively leading the resolution of rebate issues. Support Navitus internal and client external P&T processes with financial modeling and presentations
• Leading Pharma negotiations and working with others to proactively seek and capitalize on opportunities to profitably expand the scope of high net rebates and discounts that are obtained for the ultimate creation of the lowest net cost PBM for Navitus’ clients
• Lead, train and develop the team of Navitus Contractors to allow for career development
• Other duties as assigned
