Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) invites applications for a Director: Operations Group / Transformation Services in the Private Equity Performance Improvement practice. The role focuses on delivering large, complex engagements with private equity leadership to improve operating results across portfolio companies.

You will structure performance-improvement plans, identify cost-reduction opportunities, and implement programs affecting leadership, staffing, and back-office efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cost-reduction or restructuring initiatives.
• Industry vertical depth is a plus.
• MBA from a top-tier school is highly preferred.
• Experience working with private equity relationships is a plus.
• Experience in both professional services and industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structure and manage time-sensitive performance-improvement plans to completion.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure by restructuring leadership and staffing.
• Synthesize insights to enhance EBITDA and operating efficiencies.
• Implement cost-reduction programs including role changes and workforce adjustments.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
• Provide hands-on consulting across margin management, sales & operations planning, supply chain, org structure, non-labor cost efficiency, KPIs, and working capital.
