Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director for the Operations Group / Transformation Services within its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice. Open to all U.S.

locations, this role focuses on delivering large, complex engagements with PE leadership to improve operating results and EBITDA across portfolio companies. Requirements include 10+ years in cost reduction or restructuring, an MBA, and PE experience a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional or consulting experience implementing cost‑reduction programs, organizational restructuring, or cost‑structure improvements.
• MBA from a top-tier school preferred.
• Experience with private equity relationships a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structure and manage time-sensitive performance-improvement plans to completion.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost structure through leadership changes, staffing, and back-office efficiency.
• Synthesize data and insights to boost EBITDA and operating performance.
• Execute cost-reduction programs, including role changes and process improvements.
• Develop findings and provide strategic recommendations.
• Offer hands-on consulting in margin management, S&OP, supply chain, and working capital optimization.
