Job summary

Imagine Pediatrics, a pediatric-focused medical group, seeks a Director of Business Development to own deal strategy and execution across opportunities. You will be a key thought partner within the BD team, shaping growth, partnerships, and contract execution.

Lead BD operations, drive pipeline reporting, and advance cross-functional collaboration with finance, legal, and clinical teams. Travel up to 30% as deals progress from discovery to go-live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or graduate degree strongly preferred.
• 6+ years in healthcare, including health plans, medical groups, providers, or healthcare delivery organizations.
• Meaningful expertise in value-based care programs and Medicaid managed care markets.
• Proven track record of originating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships or deals.
• Previous strategy experience in consulting, banking, or corporate strategy roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop direct reports.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent listening, negotiation, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels, including executive and C-level.
• Proven success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive BD strategy and growth planning including go-to-market strategy and expansion opportunities.
• Drive deal structure development and risk modeling across value-based care constructs.
• Develop and nurture relationships with industry stakeholders and key partners through contract execution.
• Manage BD Operations Manager and drive pipeline reporting, deal infrastructure, and governance.
• Develop expertise in state Medicaid programs, RFP cycles, and policy trends impacting medically complex children.
• Align cross-functional stakeholders across BD and implementation as deals move to live.
• Lead executive alignment with board materials and ELT updates for growth transparency.
• Represent Imagine Pediatrics at industry conferences and with health plan executives.
