Job description

Who We Are

Imagine Pediatrics is a tech-enabled, pediatrician-led medical group reimagining care for children with special health care needs. We deliver 24/7 virtual first and in-home medical, behavioral, and social care, working alongside families, providers, and health plans to break down barriers to quality care. We do not replace existing care teams; we enhance them, providing an extra layer of support with compassion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to children with medical complexity.

What You’ll Do

As Director of Business Development, you will own and drive deal strategy and execution across defined opportunities and serve as a key thought partner and force multiplier within the Business Development team.

  • Develop and drive execution of BD strategy and growth planning (go-to-market strategy, emerging trends and expansion opportunities, partnership development, contract execution)

  • Drive deal structure development and risk modeling across a wide range of value-based care constructs, driving recommendations to senior leadership

  • Develop and nurture high-level relationships with industry stakeholders and key partners while driving the process of developing strategic partnership opportunities with close support and partnership from the SVP, Business Development and CCO - from initial prospecting through contract execution

  • Directly manage and develop the BD Operations Manager, providing strategic direction on pipeline reporting, deal infrastructure, materials governance, and team operating rhythm; Partner to drive continuous improvement of BD infrastructure including CRM, reporting, and market intelligence tooling

  • Develop and maintain deep expertise in state Medicaid programs, RFP cycles, and policy trends that impact children with medical complexity or special healthcare needs

  • Align and mobilize cross-functional stakeholders across BD and implementation, including finance, legal, and clinical teams as deals advance from discovery to go-live

  • Drive internal executive alignment across activities such as board materials, ELT updates, or other reporting that helps increase transparency and understanding of key opportunities, activities, and next steps to support Imagine’s growth

  • Represent Imagine Pediatrics externally at industry conferences, with health plan executives, and in state-level engagements as a senior spokesperson for our mission and model

First and foremost, you’re passionate and committed to reimagining pediatric health care and creating a world where every child with complex medical conditions gets the care and support they deserve.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or graduate degree in business or related field, strongly preferred

  • 6+ years’ experience in healthcare, including health plans, medical groups, providers, or healthcare delivery organizations

  • Proven track record of independently originating and closing complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships or deals

  • Previous strategy experience in consulting, banking, or corporate strategy roles

  • Demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop direct reports

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, leadership, and relationship building skills

  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%
