GRAEF in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for our Transportation Engineering Technical Community. Reporting to the CTO, you will drive technical excellence, standardize quality, and promote collaboration across offices.

You will lead talent development, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning while shaping technical strategy, recruiting, and client pursuits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 12 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Demonstrated technical and leadership experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of firmwide technical standards and best practices for transportation engineering.
• Promote collaboration and work-sharing across offices and projects.
• Develop people and future leaders through onboarding, mentoring and training.
• Shape technical strategy, recruiting, planning and business development activities.
• Engage with projects through leadership, design oversight, quality reviews, and risk management.
