Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director to lead and deliver major transportation infrastructure projects within the Transportation Business Group. You will drive approvals, coordinate policy and risk activities, and lead cross-functional teams.

You will negotiate contracts, manage client relationships, and engage with industry groups to advance HDR’s AD capabilities while traveling up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation projects.
Experience leading diverse teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Report to the Project Delivery Program Director and oversee delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
Drive project approvals in compliance with HDR policy, authority matrices, and risk reviews.
Collaborate with HDR policy, staff resources, and contract terms with legal and risk teams.
Lead client discussions on upcoming projects and manage contractor/developer relationships.
Coordinate with Transportation Leadership and Regional Leads on pursuing AD opportunities.
Advise HDR leadership on commercial and technical trends in Alternative Delivery.
Negotiate teaming agreements and subcontracts with engineering and construction entities.
Represent HDR in industry organizations to elevate visibility in AD markets.
