Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Director for the Transportation Business Group. You will direct pursuit and delivery of complex AD projects, drive approvals, and collaborate with HDR leadership on contract terms and risk management.

You will engage with clients, partners, and industry groups to strengthen HDR’s market position while overseeing teams and resources across regions. HDR values employee ownership and collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field is required.
Minimum 10 years of professional engineering experience on large transportation projects.
Professional registration (PE or Architect/Engineering license) is required for leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Report to the Project Delivery Program Director for pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policies and risk management.
Lead collaborations with HDR leadership, clients, and partner entities on contracts and terms.
Negotiate teaming agreements and design/subcontract scopes with engineering entities.
Represent HDR in industry organizations and contribute to best practices.
