Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations to oversee enterprise-level school operations across a portfolio of Connections Academy schools in the United States. The role focuses on coaching leaders, ensuring compliance, and scaling operational excellence to improve student outcomes.

The DSO will partner with the School Success Partner and Academic Outcomes teams to drive improvements, enable enrollment growth, and sustain strong school performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years proven leadership experience at principal level or equivalent.
• Advanced degree in Education or Management.
• Experience leading virtual schools.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Strong communication and data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational execution across multiple schools and leadership teams.
• Ensure regulatory and contract compliance at scale.
• Strengthen school leader effectiveness and succession.
• Drive enrollment growth via operational readiness.
• Partner with SSP to translate strategy into scalable execution.
• Provide data-informed coaching to leaders.
• Support adoption of enterprise systems and processes.
