Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations to lead operational excellence across a portfolio of Connections Academy schools. The DSO partners with school leaders to improve effectiveness, coach leadership teams, and ensure schools are well-supported and ready to serve students successfully.

The role requires advanced degrees, 3–5 years of proven principal-level leadership, virtual/school leadership experience, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

3–5 years proven leadership experience as a Principal or equivalent
Advanced degree in Education or Management required
Virtual school leadership experience required
Ability to travel frequently

Responsibilities

Lead operational execution across multiple schools and leadership teams.
Ensure compliance with regulations and contract requirements, operational efficiency, and sustainability at scale.
Strengthen school leader effectiveness, stability, and succession.
Enable enrollment growth through operational readiness while focusing on student experience and success.
Partner with SSP to translate account strategy into disciplined, scalable execution.
Support academic improvement by holding school leaders accountable to initiatives identified by the Academic Outcomes team.
Lead hiring and onboarding of school leaders and drive succession planning.
