Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Director of School Operations to lead operational excellence across a portfolio of Connections Academy schools. This senior role focuses on coaching school leaders, ensuring regulatory and contract compliance, and enabling enrollment growth with student success at the forefront.

The DSO will partner with cross-functional teams, manage performance, and scale processes across multiple schools while upholding Pearson values. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years proven leadership experience as a principal or equivalent level.
• Advanced degree in Education or Management required.
• Virtual school leadership experience required.
• Strong communications skills; data-driven and results-focused; ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio-Level School Operations Leadership and coaching of school leaders.
• Ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and scalability across multiple schools.
• Strengthen leadership effectiveness, stability, and succession planning.
• Enable enrollment growth through operational readiness and student experience focus.
• Lead partnerships with boards, authorizers, and external partners.
• Drive change management and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
