Job summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking a Director of Risk Placement to lead a high-functioning team in Boston. You will oversee marketing, underwriting, and placement of new business accounts submitted by the Sales Team, ensuring consistent, high-quality output and timely service.

Responsibilities include developing growth plans, driving placement strategies, mentoring staff, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and management to exceed service expectations while managing risk and workflow

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of Commercial insurance experience.
• Active license in Property/Casualty.
• Strong leadership and team supervision abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with agency marketing, underwriting, and placement.
• Willingness to work off hours as required; flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise Risk Placement staff to meet goals.
• Ensure staff training and policy adherence.
• Develop strategic growth plans for agency revenue.
• Drive placement strategies and analyze performance for improvements.
• Manage peer audit process to minimize risk.
• Foster positive relationships with carrier marketing and underwriting.
• Maintain communications with senior management and sales teams.
• Oversee pipeline and triage new submissions.
• Attend agency and carrier meetings.
• Provide suggestions to improve interdepartmental efficiency.
