The Baldwin Group in Boston, MA seeks an experienced Director of Risk Placement to lead a high-functioning team responsible for marketing, underwriting, and placing new business. You will collaborate with Sales and Management to deliver world-class risk placement services and strategic agency growth.

The role requires deep market knowledge, strong leadership, and a proven track record in Commercial insurance, with a starting pay of $150,000+ per year and a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Detailed oriented and meticulous in handling complex information.
• Exceptional and effective communication ability with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong critical thinking, active listening and assessment skills.
• Strong project and time management skills with ability to prioritize.
• Ability to negotiate and persuade with a professional demeanor.
• High level of organizational, problem resolution and presentation skills.
• Active license in Property/Casualty.
• 5-7 years of Commercial insurance experience.
• College degree preferred.
• High School degree or GED equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Manages Risk Placement staff with focus on company goals and objectives.
• Ensures staff are trained and compliant with agency policies and procedures.
• Defines targeted strategic agency growth plans to maximize revenue while quoting and recommending P&C protection.
• Drives placement strategies, reviews performance, and implements productivity tools and processes.
• Maintains relationships with carrier marketing, underwriting and support staff.
• Manages pipeline of new business and triages submissions based on workload and expertise.
• Briefs staff on agency and carrier information and updates.
• Fosters effective communication across Sales, Marketing, and Management teams.
