A leading healthcare organization in San Antonio is seeking a Director to oversee nursing services. This role involves leadership, budget management, and ensuring high-quality patient care across multiple departments. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's in Nursing and relevant management experience.

This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization. The role will assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units. It assumes 24/7 responsibility for the areas assigned by the Director. The role is accountable for supporting the CNO to ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and effective resource management related to patient care.
The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for one to two departments on a 24-hour basis. Responsibilities include:
Completes established competencies within the designated introductory period. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or a related field
5 years in the discipline or specialty
3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience
Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
Specialty or administrative certification is desired. Responsibilities include maintaining an active and current registered nurse license in the state of practice, demonstrating effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership, hospital operational ability, and serving as a role model and advocate for nursing.
