A leading healthcare organization in San Antonio is seeking a Director of Nursing to support the Chief Nursing Officer. This pivotal role involves managing nursing practices, ensuring high-quality care, and overseeing departmental resources and staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and significant experience in hospital management.
Salary: 110-140K+ Annual Incentive Opportunity + Full Benefits
This leadership role supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in managing all nursing and designated patient care functions within the hospital. The role involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units. It requires 24/7 responsibility for the assigned areas, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and resource management.
The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for one or two departments on a 24-hour basis. Responsibilities include budget management, resource utilization, staff recruitment and management, quality outcomes, performance improvement, service monitoring, maintaining positive staff and departmental relationships, and equipment management. Completes required competencies within the designated introductory period. Other duties may be assigned.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership, hospital operational knowledge, and the ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing professionalism.
