Job Overview

Salary: 110-140K+ Annual Incentive Opportunity + Full Benefits

This leadership role supports the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in managing all nursing and designated patient care functions within the hospital. The role involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units. It requires 24/7 responsibility for the assigned areas, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and resource management.

Position Summary

The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and managing resources for one or two departments on a 24-hour basis. Responsibilities include budget management, resource utilization, staff recruitment and management, quality outcomes, performance improvement, service monitoring, maintaining positive staff and departmental relationships, and equipment management. Completes required competencies within the designated introductory period. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the discipline or specialty; 3-5 years of progressively responsible management experience preferred.
• Licensure and Certifications: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse required; specialty or administrative certification preferred; BLS certification required.

Additional Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership, hospital operational knowledge, and the ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing professionalism.

Education Details

• Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
• Preferred: MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field.

Experience Details

• Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or charge nurse.

Certifications

• Licensed, certified, or registered as required by law or policy; BLS certification.
