Marqeta is seeking an experienced Director of IT Operations and Infrastructure to lead global helpdesk, endpoint engineering, and collaboration tools. You will bridge strategic planning with hands-on delivery, ensuring reliable, scalable IT services.

This role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and operates on a 3-day-a-week hybrid schedule from Oakland, CA. You will drive end-user compute strategy, vendor partnerships, and budget forecasting while mentoring a global team and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in a people management role.
• Proven experience scaling helpdesk and IT support operations.
• Hands-on in endpoint engineering, MDM platforms, and asset lifecycle.
• Experience administering corporate collaboration and SaaS platforms.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships, procurement, and budgets.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and business alignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead helpdesk operations and VIP IT support, with SLA ownership.
• Own incident management and escalation processes for IT Ops.
• Define end-user compute strategy: imaging, MDM, asset inventory, procurement, budgeting.
• Lead endpoint engineering and security compliance across devices.
• Own strategy and admin of Google Workspace, Slack, Box, Jira, and related SaaS.
