Job summary

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Director, Corporate FP&A to lead planning, forecasting, and the operating expense function at scale. You will modernize processes, automate recurring reports, and partner with the CFO and executives to align investments with strategy.

You'll inherit a small team, own headcount, vendor spend, capex, GAAP issues, and the planning calendar, driving data-driven decision making across the company.

Qualifications

• 15+ years FP&A experience at scaled operating companies, including public-company exposure.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; MBA welcomed; CPA strongly preferred.
• Deep FP&A capability: annual planning, LRPs, quarterly forecasting, monthly close, board materials.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop analysts into senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation of FP&A processes and data flows from source systems to executive view.
• Own company-wide planning rhythms: OI, long-range plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly close.
• Manage 3–4-person FP&A team; mentor and elevate analytical quality and partnerships.
• Partner with CFO and executives on investment trade-offs and strategic cost management.
• Oversee GAAP accounting topics affecting P&L; collaborate with accounting and control teams.
• Develop headcount planning with People Ops, Recruiting, and functional leaders.
