Job summary

Axcelis seeks a Director, HR Technology to lead the Workday integration and establish it as the system of record for about 3,000 employees across North America, Europe, and Asia in both manufacturing and corporate environments.

This newly created role reports to the VP of HR Operations, leads an HRIS team of three, and partners with HR, IT, payroll, and finance to define governance, data standards, and an operating model that supports scalable, global employee experiences.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in HR information systems or HR technology.
• 5+ years of hands‑on Workday experience, including implementation or large‑scale optimization.
• Experience leading enterprise system initiatives across multiple entities, regions, or business units.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Axcelis and Veeco into a single Workday environment across 3,000 employees in NA, Europe, and Asia.
• Set and deliver a multi‑year Workday roadmap for scalable system of record and consistent operations.
• Build governance, data standards, and release management for a multi‑entity global organization.
• Deliver workforce analytics and reporting for executives to make faster, informed decisions on talent and capacity.
• Translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions across HCM, recruiting, time tracking, and payroll.
• Build and lead the HRIS function and expand the existing team to support long‑term growth.
• Manage external partners to deliver integration milestones and enhancements aligned with business priorities.
