Job summary

CVS Health in HR Technology is seeking a dynamic Engineering Leader to helm platform strategy, multi-cloud infrastructure, DevOps and internal platforms. You will lead architecture alignment, delivery, and operating excellence across portfolios with a focus on AI solutions, reliability, cost optimization and secure software delivery.

The Lead Director must prioritize, communicate clearly, and deliver at pace.

Qualifications

10+ years as Technology & Engineering Leader overseeing large software programs.
8+ years leading teams in a matrix organization.
4+ years partnering with architecture, product and PMO to influence product development.
4+ years leading discovery sessions and enablement activities.
2+ years in a leadership role coordinating across cross-functional teams.
2+ years influencing stakeholders and managing vendor/budget relationships.
2+ years strong written and verbal communication skills including roadmaps and executive summaries.
2+ years mentoring resources and supporting knowledge transfer.

Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Delivery: Define and drive platform strategy across Architecture, Product and AppDev portfolios.
Platform Engineering & Developer Experience: Build and scale internal platforms, golden paths, and self-service tools to reduce developer cognitive load.
DevOps & Automation Leadership: Scale CI/CD pipelines, IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps to embed security and observability.
Solution Engineering & Integration: Design scalable, cost-effective technical solutions and enterprise integrations.
Team & Budget Management: Mentor and lead cross-functional teams; manage cloud spend and vendor negotiations.
Metrics & Governance: Track productivity and reliability metrics (DORA, MTTR) while managing costs and compliance.
Emerging Technology Integration: Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and cloud-native services into lifecycle.
