Job summary

Reworld Projects, LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America. The role drives electrical infrastructure design for high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, protection, and arc-flash studies.

The position reports to the VP of Engineering and collaborates with site/regional teams to support capital projects, plant expansions, and feasibility studies, with significant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15–20 years of experience in an electrical engineering role, including at least five years in leadership.
• Experience with MV and HV systems (switchgear, transformers, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience managing technical teams.
• Experience across the project lifecycle: concept design, construction, commissioning, and start-ups.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Design Engineering team and oversee electrical design for capital projects across high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems.
• Develop and maintain Reworld's electrical design standards and specifications library.
• Guide front-end loading (FEL) activities and ensure alignment with FEL processes.
• Mentor and develop SMEs; collaborate with cross-functional teams (Plant Support Engineering, Sourcing, PMO, Operations).
• Perform technical due diligence for equipment sourcing from low-cost countries and conduct risk assessments.
