Job summary

Reworld seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America, directing high-, medium-, and low-voltage infrastructure and ensuring safe, reliable power for more than 30 facilities.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will drive capital projects, mentor SMEs, oversee feasibility studies, RCAs, and design standards while collaborating with cross-functional partners; travel about 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 15-20 years in electrical engineering with leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading technical teams.
• MV/HV systems experience including relaying, switchgear, transformers.
• Experience across concept to commissioning and startup lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: Manage, prioritize and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Capital Projects: Lead electrical infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Technical Programs: Lead strategic programs for the company.
• Technical Standards: Maintain and improve electrical specifications and standards.
• Operations Support: Provide engineering support and technology upgrades to operations.
• External Partners: Engage external firms for sound electrical designs.
• Front-End Loading: Lead FEL activities in line with FEL processes.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Mentor SMEs and train on FEL tools.
• Feasibility Studies: Lead studies balancing total cost of ownership.
