Job summary

Reworld seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team and oversee electrical design for energy-from-waste facilities across North America. You will manage HV, MV and LV systems, drive capital projects, and set design standards.

You will mentor SMEs, coordinate with Plant Support Engineering, Sourcing and Operations, and travel about 30% to sites and projects. A PE license and 15–20 years of leadership experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science (Electrical Engineering) required.
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and electrical design across plant facilities.
• PE license and Six Sigma Green Belt preferred (not required).
• Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design engineering across high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems.
• Oversee capital projects and technical programs for multiple facilities.
• Develop and maintain electrical design standards and library.
• Provide engineering support to operations and evaluate technology upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners; mentor SMEs.
