Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America. You will own electrical design for HV, MV, and LV systems, including breakers, transformers, MCCs, and protection schemes, and collaborate with site teams on capital projects.

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will mentor SMEs, manage budgets, and drive feasibility studies and standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science (Electrical Engineering) from an accredited institution.
• 15–20 years of electrical engineering experience with at least five years in leadership.
• Experience with MV and HV systems (switchgear, transformers, protective relaying).
• Experience leading design teams across multiple facilities and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: manage, prioritize, and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Capital Projects: lead electrical infrastructure design engineering for capital projects.
• Technical Programs: lead technical programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Technical Standards: develop, maintain, and improve Reworld’s Electrical specifications/design standards library.
• Operations Support: provide engineering support to operations and evaluate technology upgrades.
