Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Director of Computer Vision to set the technical vision and lead the platform's research and engineering execution. You will drive architecture, strategy, and the roadmap for the Computer Vision Platform, translating product requirements into scalable, edge-to-cloud AI.

You will manage a distributed team across geographies, recruit and mentor world-class talent, and establish best-in-class MLOps practices for training, deployment, monitoring, and optimization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading computer vision teams in production.
• Deep expertise in computer vision, ML, and MLOps.
• Proven experience defining long-term technical vision and roadmaps.
• Ability to manage a distributed organization of 50–100 people.
• Start-up mindset with bias for action in ambiguous environments.
• Domain knowledge in public safety or security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term research agenda for foundational computer vision capabilities.
• Provide executive technical leadership for the Computer Vision Platform.
• Manage and scale a distributed research/engineering organization across geographies.
• Own end-to-end MLOps and AI infrastructure across edge and cloud.
• Define metrics to measure engineering performance and drive improvement.
• Evaluate cutting-edge CV research and manage risk in architecture decisions.
