Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Director of Computer Vision to lead the platform's technical vision, research, and engineering execution. You will steer the architecture, empower distributed teams, and drive end-to-end ML lifecycle from training to deployment across edge and cloud environments.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in computer vision leadership, deep CV and ML expertise, and a track record of building scalable AI infrastructure with strong strategic and people leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Define long-term research agenda for fundamental computer vision capabilities.
• Provide executive technical leadership and architecture for the CV platform.
• Manage distributed teams, recruiting and mentoring talent across geographies.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle with scalable training and deployment.
• Define metrics to measure latency, throughput and system reliability.
• Evaluate cutting-edge CV research and mitigate technical risks.

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical vision and engineering roadmap for the Computer Vision Platform.
• Translate product requirements into robust, scalable specifications.
• Lead multiple teams across geographies and mentor senior engineers.
• Establish best-in-class MLOps practices for edge and cloud deployment.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks and drive improvements.
• Balance build-vs-buy decisions and steer architectural priorities.
