Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) seeks a Director in Merger Integrations and Carve-Outs to lead complex integration programs for PE clients. The role spans pre- and post‑close activities, including Day 1 readiness, operational synergies, and organizational design across multiple deal types.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of consulting in merger integration, strong leadership, and a willingness to travel 75%+ across geographies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional consulting experience in merger integration and related areas.
• Experience leading one or more work streams in a business transformation.
• Deep functional expertise across finance, HR, operations, and supply chain.
• MBA preferred; excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel at least 75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Integration Management Office or a focus area such as Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 Readiness, Executive Reporting, Integration Roadmap, Communications, or Organizational Design depending on deal size.
• Deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for PE clients and their portfolio companies.
• Provide interim functional management as required.
• Lead Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement across: Strategic planning; Operational optimization / consolidation; Back-office consolidation; Supply chain; IT / reporting integration; Customer and channel management.
• Drive performance improvement assessments, oversee implementation of recommendations, track progress, and adjust strategies or personnel as needed.
• Ensure quality of deliverables, manage team and client relationships to deliver exceptional performance.
• Participate in proposal development and business-development activities.
• Lead small engagements or components of large, complex engagements.
• Practice development: develop solutions, methodologies, point-of-view documents, and participate in public speaking.
• People development: coach, guide staffing, engage in recruitment and retention, and support delivery teams in local offices.
