Job summary

BAE Systems in Falls Church, VA seeks a Director II of Business Development to lead the Weapon Systems product line within CMS. You will guide senior leadership and own end-to-end capture across Naval Guns, Launchers, and Submarine programs.

Responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, overseeing bids and proposals, ensuring proper resourcing, and mentoring a BD team. You will engage external decision makers and report progress to CMS leaders.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active Secret clearance or clearance eligible.
• Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Business Development within the Defense industry.
• Experience in People Management/Leadership.
• Experience in Cross-functional Leadership and Team Collaboration.
• Knowledge of DoD's PPBS and Joint Capabilities Development System.
• Knowledge of US Navy's acquisition and resource sponsor organizations for surface and sub-surface warfare.
• Ability to interface with key external decision makers.
• Strong capability to work with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities for CMS growth.
• Oversee and manage all business winning activities for the Weapon Systems product line.
• Ensure lifecycle resources, talent, time, and funding are available.
• Lead a team of BD professionals supporting Naval Guns, Launchers, and Submarine programs.
• Maintain awareness of markets, customers, competitors, and partners; provide updates to leadership.
• Support strategy development and briefing senior internal leaders on progress.
