CALIBRE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Director, Defense Business Development & Capture to accelerate growth in the Department of Defense market.

The role demands established customer relationships, market insight, and hands-on capture expertise to shape opportunities before solicitation and lead priority pursuits through award. Reporting to the Vice President, Defense, you will coordinate with operations, pricing, contracts, and proposal teams, build cross-functional capture plans, and guide teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; directly related experience may supplement.
• 10+ years in Defense business development, capture management, strategic account leadership, or similar roles.
• Proven track record building and sustaining relationships with Defense customers and industry partners.
• History of creating and maturing qualified opportunities through customer engagement, market knowledge, and early shaping.
• Successful leadership of competitive DoD pursuits from identification through award.
• Ability to lead multiple concurrent pursuits and cross-functional teams while managing schedules and budgets.
• Strong knowledge of Federal acquisition processes (FAR/DFARS), source selection, and IDIQs.

Responsibilities

• Leverage and expand relationships with Defense decision-makers and industry partners.
• Identify customer priorities and funding considerations through market intelligence.
• Create and mature an actionable pipeline aligned with CALIBRE capabilities and growth.
• Develop account plans, opportunity roadmaps, and competitor analysis.
• Own priority pursuits from qualification through solicitation and award.
• Develop and execute capture plans, win strategies, and teaming arrangements.
• Lead value-based bid decisions and ensure alignment across proposal teams.
• Mentor growth personnel and convert opportunities into awards.
