Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Director, People Technology Architecture to own the Workday platform architecture and technical roadmap for a global, Workday-first organization. This role steers design across modules and expands capabilities like Extend, Orchestrate, Prism, and Build, while serving as the technical authority on cross‑module decisions.

You will partner with IT, Finance, PDAR and HR stakeholders to rationalize tools, consolidate HR software, and scale architecture for multi‑country

Qualifications

• End-to-end Workday platform expertise across modules (HCM, Payroll, Integrations).
• Experience consolidating HR tools into Workday as the single source of truth.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end Workday platform architecture across all active modules and drives standards for configuration, design, and governance across the People Tech function.
• Leads architectural design for new module rollouts and platform expansions including Workday Extend, Orchestrate, Prism, and Build technologies.
• Represents as the technical authority for complex cross‑module design decisions.
• Establishes documentation standards, design review processes, and runbooks to reduce technical debt and contractor dependency.
• Designs Workday architecture for global scale, ensuring security, processes, and integrations support new geographies without re-architecture.
• Leads consolidation of fragmented HR tools into Workday and defines a roadmap with low risk and business alignment.
