Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director of Executive Development to shape the enterprise approach for developing nearly 1,000 SVPs and EVPs. You will set strategy, oversee onboarding, milestone experiences, coaching, and team effectiveness solutions that accelerate transitions and deliver sustained business impact.

You will partner closely with senior leaders and Talent partners to deliver differentiated development journeys and best-in-class learning experiences globally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in executive and leadership development, with emphasis on onboarding and transition strategies for senior executives in a global organization.
• Strong strategic thinking, project management, and global program delivery skills.
• Combines strategic thought leadership with proven expertise in program execution.
• Proven thought leader, with track record of writing, speaking, and/or consulting on talent trends.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior leaders across a matrixed organization.
• Experience aligning development with performance, potential, and succession planning.
• Demonstrated experience managing external vendors, contracts, and complex budgets, with strong financial stewardship.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills across formats and audiences.
• Collaborative and results-driven, with a track record of delivering measurable talent impact.
• Passion for enabling leadership growth and shaping the future of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Set and evolve Mastercard’s enterprise executive development strategy for nearly 1,000 SVPs and EVPs, aligned with business priorities, the Mastercard Way, and leadership capabilities.
• Own the end-to-end executive development portfolio, creating a coherent journey across onboarding, milestone experiences, ongoing skill building, coaching, assessments, and team effectiveness.
• Lead executive onboarding for newly hired, promoted, and transitioning SVPs and EVPs, including 90-day guidance and integration activities.
• Lead and strengthen Voyager, Mastercard’s flagship EVP development experience, from cohort strategy and sponsorship through immersive learning and coaching.
• Design and deliver distinctive development experiences for SVPs and EVPs, including celebrations, skill building, and performance sessions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives and P&C partners, translating enterprise priorities into targeted solutions.
• Partner with Executive Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, People Business Partners, and leaders to ensure connected development across the enterprise.
• Oversee executive coaching, assessment, and team effectiveness offerings with governance and delivery standards.
• Lead a high-performing team and manage external partners, budgets, and program governance across a global portfolio.
• Use feedback and outcomes to evaluate impact and communicate value to senior stakeholders.
