Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corp. in the United States is seeking a Director, Food Packaging to lead go-to-market strategy for food packaging, translating market trends and customer requirements into compelling sales plays and pipeline execution.

You will collaborate with marketing, operations, and supplier partners to strengthen the packaging portfolio, improve win rates, and deliver a consistent customer experience across strategic programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Engineering, Food Science, Business or related field; 7+ years in food/beverage packaging
• Ability to create and execute go-to-market and business development strategies with field sales
• Knowledge of food safety/quality systems (SQF, HACCP, GFSI) and translate requirements into packaging solutions
• Experience partnering with operations/plant teams, co-manufacturers, and suppliers to implement packaging programs
• Strong analytical, financial acumen, and presentation skills; capable of building business cases for executives
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office; disciplined in pipeline management and forecasting
• Proven consultative selling skills, prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, and negotiation
• Ability to influence cross-functionally and lead through ambiguity; strong project/program management
• Experience building partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers; negotiating programs/pricing/service levels
• Excellent communication and executive presence; credible with food industry stakeholders
• Willingness to travel up to 40% domestically

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the go-to-market strategy for food packaging including target segments and growth priorities
• Partner with sales reps to build territory/account plans and close opportunities
• Lead customer discovery, solution design, proposal development, and executive-level presentations
• Maintain CRM to improve forecast accuracy and drive revenue and margin
• Develop proposals, pricing guidance, and service levels; support negotiations and close
• Collaborate with finance to manage pricing discipline and monitor program profitability
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships to enhance the portfolio
• Support onboarding and implementation for strategic wins to ensure delivery as sold
• Track pipeline, bookings, revenue, and gross margin; adjust strategies as needed
• Lead cross-functional pursuit teams to scope, price, and win programs
• Provide sales enablement materials and joint call support to increase win rates
• Promote safety, quality, and regulatory adherence in partnership with Operations
• Travel domestically up to 40%
