Job summary

Shorr Packaging Corp. is seeking a Director, Food Packaging to lead go-to-market strategy for food packaging, align market trends with sales enablement, and drive pipeline execution.

This role partners across marketing, operations, and supplier partners to strengthen the portfolio in food packaging. The successful candidate will own pricing discipline, profitability, and strategic partnerships, build customer-centric proposals, and guide cross-functional pursuit teams to win large programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Engineering, Food Science, or Business (or equivalent).
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in food/beverage packaging.
• Ability to create and execute go-to-market and business development strategies.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (SQF, HACCP, GFSI).
• Experience partnering with operations and suppliers to implement packaging programs.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen; ability to present to executives.
• Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and MS Office; pipeline discipline.
• Proven consultative selling skills and executive-level negotiation.
• Ability to influence cross-functionally; lead via ambiguity.
• Experience building partnerships with manufacturers; coaching sales teams.
• Excellent communication and executive presence; travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the go-to-market strategy for food packaging.
• Partner with sales reps to build territory/account plans and close opportunities.
• Lead business development and strategic account growth initiatives.
• Maintain pipeline rigor, forecast accuracy, and program profitability.
• Maintain deep knowledge of food packaging applications and specs.
• Coordinate resources to meet packaging requirements and customer standards.
• Lead cross-functional pursuit teams to scope, price, and win programs.
• Develop proposals, pricing guidance, and implementation plans.
