Job summary

Renewance, Inc. is seeking a Director, Business Development - Energy Services to translate customer insights into compelling solutions and promote Renewance at conferences and tradeshows.

The role focuses on developing relationships with battery OEMs, ESS integrators, and operators across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with 50% travel and a strong path to grow orders and software bookings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in business development or field sales leadership in Battery Energy Storage or related field.
• Experience running a full sales lifecycle: lead generation, qualification, proposals, closing, and account management.
• Knowledge of Battery OEMs, ESS integrators, and ESS operators required.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and market dynamics; ability to interpret customer needs.
• Experience in competitive analysis and benchmarking.
• Skilled in presentation and public speaking; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for battery energy storage services and software.
• Build relationships with OEMs, integrators, and operators across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Identify target segments and align sales objectives with company goals.
• Generate opportunities, manage pipeline, and navigate long sales cycles.
• Create compelling proposals and presentations articulating value to customers.
• Maintain ongoing thought leadership on market drivers and customer needs.
