Pattern Energy is seeking a Manager, Business Development to lead development activities for battery energy storage systems in North America. You will collaborate across internal and external stakeholders, manage budgets, and identify and mitigate risks to support successful project execution.

Responsibilities include coordinating permitting, land, meteorology, engineering, and construction teams, tracking financials, and engaging with communities and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, environmental studies, energy, or related field.
• 3–5 years of renewable energy project development, project finance, or asset management experience.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and databases; GIS and Enverus/Prism experience helpful.
• Ability to lead internal teams and manage third-party contractors.
• Experience managing development budgets, schedules, risks, and cross-functional deliverables.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple development projects across stage gates, technologies, and geographies.
• Manage budgets, schedules, risks, and progress against plan.
• Coordinate permitting, land, origination, meteorology, engineering, construction, and other teams.
• Support budget tracking, financial modeling, reporting, Salesforce inputs, and Board deliverables.
• Support community outreach and permitting activities.
• Guide project work plans and escalate issues within approved parameters.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to promote accountability and decision-making.
• Mentor interns or junior team members as needed.
