Job summary

Reworld Waste in the United States seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team, directing design for energy-from-waste facilities across North America. You will oversee HV, MV, and LV systems, and drive capital projects with a focus on safety, reliability, and optimization.

This role requires deep electrical engineering expertise and proven leadership of diverse teams across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of electrical engineering experience.
• At least five years of leadership experience.
• Experience with MV and HV systems (switchgear, transformers, relays).
• Experience across the project execution lifecycle (concept to start-up).

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: manage and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Capital Projects: lead electrical infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Technical Programs: lead programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Technical Standards: develop and maintain electrical specs/design standards library.
• Operations Support: provide engineering support to operations and upgrades.
