CesiumAstro, Inc. is seeking a Director of Applications Engineering to lead the customer-facing technical organization. You will ensure customers can understand, integrate, operate, and deploy our products, working across Product, Engineering, Business Development, and program execution.

You will own the Voice of the Customer and translate experience into actionable product requirements, documentation, and improvements across the lifecycle from evaluation to on-orbit support.

Formación

• 11–15 years of related experience in applications or systems engineering.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Directing customer integration and deployment activities with complex hardware/software.
• Translating customer requirements into product requirements and documentation.
• Resolving significant system integration and performance challenges with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Build and lead a high-performing customer-facing technical team.
• Establish Applications Engineering as the primary technical interface for customers.
• Ensure customers have guidance, tools, training, and support to integrate and operate products.
• Capture customer needs and translate into actionable input for Product and Engineering.
• Partner with Product leadership to identify recurring needs and usability gaps.
• Maintain depth of knowledge of product hardware/software/interfaces through collaboration.
• Collaborate with Architects, BD, and Product teams for proposals and demonstrations.
• Define support approach through integration, test, commissioning, and operation.
• Own strategy and quality of customer-facing technical content.
• Identify recurring patterns and develop reference architectures and tools.
• Escalate product issues and share lessons to improve releases.
• Maintain continuity from customer need to solution development and operation.
