Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director of Commercial Lines to lead nationwide operations with a focus on efficiency, standardization, and strategic growth. The role calls for 5–7+ years of leadership in a large brokerage and an active P&C license, with CPCU/CIC designation strongly preferred.

The position supports M&A integration and transformation efforts, while leveraging EPIC systems to optimize workflows, with remote work aligned to Central Time Zone hours.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large insurance brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing sustainable process improvements.
• Workforce planning, capacity modeling, and resource management experience.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute Commercial Lines initiatives.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and consistency.
• Analyze staffing, workloads, and service demands for capacity planning.
• Support M&A integration through operational assessments and alignment.
• Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, and technology usage.
