Ford Credit seeks a Director of Cloud & AI Infrastructure Operations to lead reliability, security, and cost efficiency across a hybrid cloud and AI-enabled landscape. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
• 10+ years in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering with hands-on GCP experience.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience designing secure cloud architectures (GCP networking, IAM, security controls).
• Experience delivering HA/DR across hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem).
• Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure concepts (LLM, RAG, MCP, Agentic AI).
• Familiarity with AI-powered DevTools (Cursor, Claude Code).
• Knowledge of Google AI/ML services (Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, Feature Store, AI Runtime).
• Understanding security considerations for AI systems and agents.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for apps on GCP and container platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Ensure secure, resilient cloud architectures and patterns in GCP.
• Lead HA/DR design for multi-environment deployments.
• Develop and apply AI infrastructure concepts to automate IT operations.
• Promote secure use of AI-powered IDEs and tools within engineering teams.
• Build and monitor cost metrics and dashboards for management.
• Collaborate with security engineering to implement AI security controls.
• Mentor technical teams and lead cross-functional collaboration.
