Ford Credit is seeking a Director of Cloud & AI Infrastructure Operations to lead reliability, security, and cost efficiency across a hybrid cloud landscape (GCP, Kubernetes/OpenShift, on-prem). You will drive AI infrastructure adoption, partner with security, architecture, and external vendors, and mentor a technical team.

The role blends hands-on leadership with strategic planning, requiring 10+ years in cloud engineering and strong collaboration across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in cloud infrastructure/platform engineering with hands-on GCP experience.
• Proven experience on Kubernetes/OpenShift and secure cloud architectures.
• Experience delivering HA/DR across hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure concepts and DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership for GCP and container platforms.
• Design secure cloud architectures including IAM and networking.
• Lead HA/DR planning across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Develop AI infrastructure solutions with MLP/GPU-enabled stacks.
• Embed security scanning and compliance into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor teams and present cost/benefit metrics to leadership.
