Job summary
Ford Credit seeks a Director of Cloud & AI Infrastructure Operations to lead reliability, security, and cost efficiency across a hybrid cloud landscape including GCP, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and data centers. You will drive AI infra initiatives and partner with security and enterprise teams to deliver production-ready, governed solutions.
The role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning, mentoring talent and communicating metrics to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years in cloud infrastructure with hands-on GCP.
- Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Secure cloud architectures with IAM and networking.
- HA/DR across hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure concepts.
- Familiarity with AI development tools (Cursor/Claude).
- Knowledge of Google AI/ML services (Gemini, Vertex AI).
- Security scanning tools experience (SAST, SCA, DAST).
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for GCP and container platforms.
- Design HA/DR for hybrid environments spanning cloud and on‑prem.
- Advance AI infrastructure and secure deployment practices.
- Partner with security to implement AI architecture controls.
